so long didnt blog already..
been busy with attachment and stuff ...been to IMH and now back to SGH --> OT *operating theatre* yup yup can say i love the posting cos everything is cLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!! very clean !! yea! but..hmm pretty stressful..gotta remember all the equipments and stuff..too many to remeber cos different department uses alot different equipment..eg : Othopaedic ( bones--eg fractures etc) den got use SAW ..really SAW! to saw the bones and stuff. (if needed la..not all cases) haha and drilling..really like drilling those wooden boards and stuff.. the sound of it is so Eeekk. very noisy and hair standing..today i saw alot of such cases! BIG cases!


the staff warn me " if u happen to see the doctors screaming and shouting at the nurses, and the nurses started crying..just dont be too surprise cos its very common.." den its like i today really experienced it already..cos the surgeon (doctor) really want things to be doing fast fast chop chop!! and keep hurrying the staff and i stand there cos i dont noe wad to do cos i not doing the scrub nurse ..den alot of sterile things cant touch..if accidentally touch ..contaminate it..even worse going to get even bigger scolding like mad.. cos sterility is very IMPORTANT IN O.T.!!
infection control too!
i just stand there look..den i look at doc , he look at me..i feel so weird like an alien dunno was to do there..diaox!

den i watch the second operation...dat's when i get scolded! by the consultant..main surgeon..
1 is dat i really bad at catching wad the the surgeon is talking and was they want from the circulating nurse! cos i cant get used to wad they say and their speed...some talk to u w/o even looking at u ..and wonder wad they are they talking abt? are they talking to u ? i got confused! and i asked the stuff wad they want? i cant catch a single thing onli the size of that "something"
the surgeon look @ me...i want gloves 7 1/2..i quickly go take and i heard him calling my name "NYP nursing student TAY JIA MING! dun even noe wad is gloves ah?!!" i am really very sorry cos i really cant hear him well..i just cant catch wad he is saying ma..

i took the gloves open and he grab it and i didnt pull hard enough to get the wrapper out and contaminated his gloves ..and dats when he shouted again dunno how to open and contaminated my gloves! and he threw away the gloves away! i quickly get new one and get the staff to remove his gloves and change into a new one..

i feel so clumsy and sorry abt it..and really dont mean it...i was so frightened by it and heart really pounding very hard..and fast.. hoping the surgeon wont shout at me again..i quickly go out and help out at somewhere else b4 getting myself into further trouble..

after awhile i went back into the operating rm..hoping everything is alright man..cos i very thin skin de...i feel very pai seh...when i did something wrong tinking everyone will remember it,..haha! i was quite scare..

den actually the O.T. got more than one surgeon de la..haha got dis particular doctor always look for me to help him do things..den he wear the gown i help him tie his gown twice..and i was doing something den he approach..wanting me to help him pass the last string cos he cant move his hands to the back to get it pass to the front to tie..but i didnt notice..but lucky got one staff got by and help him..
and for the last case i seen..he is there too..basically "we" are in the same O.T. thru out the whole daysince morning till i off shift..its so cool!! haha..yea..dont tink wrong wrong..we are working onli..but can see he is nice doctor..much more gentle to pt than i see others..diaox...i tink i just abit off socket..*siao siao*we smiled at each other simultaneously because of something..haha

nono i not tinking of anything..haha
i just think its kinda nice thing dat happen to me other than got scolded by surgeon..cos its helps balanced out my day..
